Saat itu, musim panas 1956, Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) sedang berada di Inggris dalam rangka syuting film THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWGIRL yang ia bintangi bersama Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh). Tak disangka, di saat itu pula terjadi kisah asmara singkat antara Marilyn dan seorang pemuda Inggris yang bekerja di tim produksi film ini.
Sebenarnya, selain syuting, Marilyn Monroe juga memanfaatkan kunjungan ini untuk berbulan madu bersama Arthur Miller (Dougray Scott). Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) saat itu ditugaskan untuk menjadi asisten Marilyn Monroe. Ketika Arthur Miller meninggalkan Inggris, Colin Clark jadi semakin dekat pada Marilyn. Mereka berdua mulai sering menghabiskan waktu bersama dan saat itulah tumbuh rasa lain di hati Colin.
Sepekan penuh mereka berdua bersama dan tak terasa hubungan mereka berdua semakin dekat. At that time, the summer of 1956, Marilyn Monroe (MichelleWilliams) is in the UK in order to shoot the film THE PRINCE ANDTHE Showgirl which she starred with Laurence Olivier (KennethBranagh).
